Cretan dakos salad

 


Ingredients

2 large nuts (round)
3 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 cucumber, sliced
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/3 cup Kalamata olives
1/4 teaspoon dill, chopped
150 g feta cheese, crumbled
For the dressing:
Olive oil
1- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1- 2 tbsp. capers
Salt and pepper to taste


How to:

Cut the nuts in half and then chop them into large pieces.
In a bowl, mix the dressing ingredients. Taste and adjust if necessary.
In the same bowl, add the tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, dill, and feta cheese. Mix well and let sit for 20 minutes.
In a large plate, place 1/4 of the breadcrumbs on the bottom. Top with the salad mixture and be sure to add the juice from the bottom of the bowl to your plate.
