Ingredients
1 kilo cod liquid, in pieces
For the cod batter: 1 can of beer, 1 tbsp. salt, 1 tsp. sugar, flour as needed
For the garlic: 4 slices of bread (can be replaced with boiled potato), 2 cloves of garlic, salt to taste, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 3 tbsp seed oil
How to:
Put the cod in plenty of water 24 hours before cooking, changing the water regularly to remove the saltiness.
Make the batter: In a bowl put the beer, salt, and sugar, and add the flour while mixing until you have a thick mixture.
Dip the cod pieces in the batter and fry in plenty of hot seed oil.
Make the garlic dip: Soak the bread, strain, and place in a food processor. Add the garlic, salt to taste, lemon juice, and seed oil and pulse until you have a velvety puree-like mixture.
Enjoy with fried cod!
