Penne with pepperoni

 


Ingredients

400 gr. pennies
1 fl. tea marinara sauce
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
120 gr. mini pepperoni
240 gr. mini mozzarella balls
2 tbsp butter
1/2 fl. of tea breadcrumbs
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
Finely chopped basil, for garnish
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

How to:

  1. Add penne to salted water and cook according to package directions until al dente.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan over low heat. Add the breadcrumbs and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring regularly, for 4 to 5 minutes until the breadcrumbs are cooked through and golden brown. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. When the penne is cooked, drain and return to the hot pot. Stir in the marinara sauce and oregano.
  4. Remove from the heat and add the mini pepperoni and mini mozzarella balls.
  5. Serve the pasta and garnish with fresh basil.
